Frist weekend at Roger's Studio

It has officially begun!
We just spent our first weekend at boombox sound in Toronto working with Roger Leavens on our brand new album!
Here is a quick glimpse at what we'll be doing for the next few months, there's lot's of work to do,
but we're really exited to get to it!

Boombox is pretty much heaven for any musician, especially ones like myself who absolutely love synths and drum machines...

track of the week

Not only does this Brooklyn based band have one of the sickest typeset i have ever seen, they also make great music.
I've been listening to this track on repeat for the last week or so, great stuff...
here is the video :

here is the link to hear the song..

enjoy!

Fantasy Tour 2010

Sometimes i think we have too much fun with the internet and photoshop...

jess : this is hilarious.. we should photoshop ourselves on all our tours! Taj Mahal Next!!
kyle : incredible! i knew where were there... i just knew it.
adam: thats next! or maybe ....waaaay down the line.

fezz: Let's aim higher...
mark: i love it that i get to be the storm trooper and i just watched the original star wars last night as i fell asleep...fez you read minds you little graphic manipulator you...

this last one is gratuitous...

BIG FIVE CENTS!

So we took a break from recording to play a gig.. ( i hear bands do that every now and then) we made our way up to Laurentian University, and met some lovely people, both in the audience and back stage... Mother Mother was the headlining band, they were such nice people! and amazingly together and impressive on stage!
Our next gig is in north bay ( Nipissing ) opening for Girl Talk, which we are equally as exited about! We start our studio time very soon too! so in general we are an excited group of folks!

stay tuned ... for the excitement that is..

Two Tracks - of the weeks..

so yes...
we made this big promise to bring you a new and exiting track every week.. and i broke it..
to make up for this i'm choosing two songs to share with you!

the first is this interesting video/sampling song by faggotron( at least that's his youtube username)
i like the concept, and the song is actually really great!

the second song i want to share with you is a new track by Sufjan Stevens called "Too much"
i'm really exited for the new album as he's clearly be diving into the more electronic side of
recording, and its sounding like nothing i've ever heard. Sufjan's new album The Age of Adz
drops on Oct 12th! so look out for that!

Sufjan Stevens - Too Much

Thats all for now!

Fezz out!

p.s We're Playing Laurentian University in Sudbury this Saturday with Mother Mother! It's our first show in a while, due to our recording hibernation, so we're pretty exited!
